Before Dawnguard I would hit Bloodlet Throne which is just around the back of Ancient's Ascent closest wall to Helgen to get started with Alchemy and Enchanting or at least Disenchanting , but since the Gargoyles now come to life, I avoid that place at low levels.

Pre-patch, I'd do as few missions as possible to get to 15, then go North for the Oghma Infinium, then get the Markarth house to glitch in. Up to level 52 now and have almost all the Shouts you can get from Word Walls. Broke into Korvanjund'd back door to get the shout, but left the Jagged Crown for later.

The giants do not respawn. Giant Camps are a type of camp found only in Western Skyrim. Although giants can be found encamped in many places throughout Elder Scrolls Online, these locations in Western Skyrim are unique in that they are marked as completed only after you eat the Mammoth Cheese found at the camp. This rewards leveled completion experience. A large loot chest and several bowls of Mammoth Cheese can typically be found at these camps.

The giants in these camps are aggressive towards intruders, so looting the chests can be difficult for low level players.
